Senior Engineer IT Development

In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining enterprise software solutions that support manufacturing, engineering and business functions. You will need to deliver robust, secure and scalable applications, integrate systems across the organization, and provide technical leadership for development best practices and lifecycle activities.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

Lead full-stack development efforts for internal applications, including requirement analysis, architecture, coding, testing and deployment.

Design and implement integrations with manufacturing systems (MES/APS/ERP), test equipment and IoT/edge devices to ensure reliable data flows and process automation.

Collaborate with Industrial Engineering, Maintenance and AMC teams to translate process requirements into technical solutions (data collection, analytics, dashboards, alerts).

Support APQP, process validation and new production line commissioning by providing software tools, data capture and reporting to meet launch timelines and quality requirements.

Ensure applications meet security, compliance and data governance standards; work with IT security to remediate vulnerabilities and implement controls.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment procedures to improve release cadence and reduce downtime.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers and cross-functional teams; conduct code reviews and promote standardized methods of working and planning.

Participate in APS/workshop activities and support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives by delivering enabling IT capabilities.

Maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, interface specifications, run books and work instructions.

Coordinate with Spare Parts, Maintenance and Production stakeholders to ensure systems reflect accurate asset, BOM and spare inventory information.

Support incident response and root cause analysis for application-related production issues and work to improve system resilience and uptime.
If you have/are:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5+ years experience in software development, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Strong skills in one or more backend languages (Java, C#, Python) and experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).

Experience integrating with MES/ERP systems (e.g., JDE/QAD) and industrial protocols or IIoT platforms.

Proven knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), API design (REST/GraphQL) and messaging systems.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling.

Familiarity with APQP, TPM, LMPU/cycle time concepts or working with Industrial Engineering and Maintenance teams is an advantage.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities under time constraints.

Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in cross-functional and international teams.
